MAY EVENTS: 


MAY 2: EVENING EVENT for the public at the Northfield LIBRARY: 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.: Gardening Tips for Busy People. Come learn about best gardening practices from local garden experts and get your garden off to the best possible start.

May 9: Our next monthly club meeting will be on Tuesday, May 9 at the United Methodist Church at 12:45 p.m. Our speaker will be Chris Lambert, the landscape design expert from Knecht's Nurseries. Chris will present an illustrated talk on creating English-type flower gardens in Minnesota.

May 13: Our annual PLANT and BAKE SALE on Bridge Square will take place on Saturday, May 13 from 8 a.m. until noon. Please come buy some plants and treats to support the good work of the Northfield Garden Club.

Sixty people attended our first meeting of 2017 on Tuesday, February 14 at St. Olaf College to hear our speaker, Larry Pfarr, a home and garden expert from Bachman's Nursery who is often featured on KSTP TV! What a great way to start the year.  



The Northfield Garden Club 2017 Officers were Elected at the October meeting.

Time to Renew Membership for 2017. Membership levels:

$15 = Basic
$50 = Friend
$100 = Supporter

If you want a discount joint membership with the Minnesota State Horticultural Society (MSHS) add $37. Deadline for joint membership is October 11 meeting. The MSHS members receive bi-monthly Northern Gardener Magazines and a 10% discount card that is good at dozens of nurseries throughout MN. Mail your check to P.O. Box 745, Northfield, MN 55057.
